Dr. Lanny Giesler, DDS
Lanny J. Giesler, DDS
For Dr. Lanny J. Giesler it is an honor and privilege to practice dentistry in the same town in which he was born and raised. He takes great pride in providing excellent, up to date, dental care to the people of North East Texas.
Dr. Lanny grew up in Atlanta, Texas and after graduating from Atlanta High School, attended Baylor University. After graduating from Baylor with a degree in Biology, Dr. Lanny was awarded his dental degree (DDS) from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, TX.
Dr. Lanny joined the Air Force while in dental school and entered active duty in the United States Air Force shortly after graduation. Upon entering the Air Force, he completed a one-year Advanced Education General Dentistry residency at Sheppard AFB, Texas. He spent the next 5 years serving his country in various locations around the world including the United Kingdom and Baghdad, Iraq.
Dr. Lanny and his wife Brooke made the decision to move "back home” and join his Father in practice at Giesler Family Dentistry in 2011. Although Dr. Lanny and his wife have lived and worked around the world, there is no other place they would rather raise their children (Aurelia, Adelaide, Ava Kate, and Wyatt) than North East Texas.
Dr. Lanny’s vision for dental practice is simply to treat everyone as he would like to be treated. He believes that patients should be partners in their health care and they should be able to make informed decisions about what is best for them. Dr. Lanny also strives to stay educated and incorporate the latest technology and procedures available in the field of dentistry. In 2014 he was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. In order to recieve this honor, Dr. Lanny completed over 500 hours of continuing education as well as passed a written exam.
Dr. Lanny has way too many hobbies, but spends most of his time these days being a daddy to his girls and son. Dr. Lanny enjoys being a part of several Christian ministries in the local area and abroad. The most important aspects of his life are his Faith and his Family. His hope is that these values shine through all aspects of his life, including his dental practice.
